Is my iPad compatible with the Pencil Pro Plus?
The Pencil Pro Plus is compatible with iPads that support magnetic wireless charging (2018–2023 models).
It is not compatible with the following:
iPad 1st to 10th generation
iPad mini 1st to 5th generation
iPad Air 1st to 3rd generation
iPad Pro 9.7-inch (1st gen)
iPad Pro 10.5-inch (2nd gen)
iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st & 2nd gen)
iPad Pro 11-inch (M4, 2024)
iPad Pro 13-inch (M4, 2024)
iPad Air 11-inch (M2/M3, 2024–2025)
iPad Air 13-inch (M2/M3, 2024–2025)
iPad mini 7th generation (2024)
These models either lack magnetic charging or use a newer system that the Pencil Pro Plus does not support.
Does it support palm rejection?
Yes — the Pencil Pro Plus supports full palm rejection. You can rest your hand naturally on the screen while writing or drawing with no interference.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 10+ hours on a full charge.
How do I charge it?
The Pencil Pro Plus charges wirelessly when attached magnetically to compatible iPads (2018–2023).
Note: It does not charge via USB-C and is not charge with 2024 iPads or newer.
Does it support tilt, pressure, and replaceable nibs?
Yes — it supports tilt functionality and tilt sensitivity for shading and angled strokes.
Pressure sensitivity is not included.
The nibs are replaceable, and extras are included in the box. Swapping them is tool-free.
Do I need to connect it with Bluetooth?
For writing, drawing, palm rejection and tilt sensitivity, Bluetooth is not required.
Bluetooth is only needed to enable shortcut button functions and to view the battery level on your iPad screen.
What are the shortcut buttons for?
The Pencil Pro Plus includes shortcut buttons for quick actions:
Single press: Exit the current app
Double press: Take a screenshot
Bluetooth connection is required.
